Generally the "let down" can feel like a burning sensation in your breast while you are feeding. If it is painful I would be getting myself off to see a doctor or lactation consultant, but if it is only mild discomfort and not ongoing I would be putting it down to the let down of your milk.

Breast while lactating gets ultra sensitive and hence the burning sensation. While feeding from one breast rub the other breast with your palm to ease the burning sensation.

A burning sensation could be indicative of a yeast infection, aka thrush. Check for signs manifested by your child: white patches in the mouth, resistance or obvious pain during feedings, or a diaper rash that is resistant to diaper creams. Other symptoms you may experience: shooting pains in your breast, cracked or red nipples, or a vaginal yeast infection.

There are many possible causes of this, one very serious one is inflammatory breast cancer, which is a killer of women at the breastfeeding age. You be relieved to find that it's only a blocked duct, but it's worth looking over by a health professional.
