It's possible that a rocker arm that moves one of your valves is making noise if it's become loose but, depending on the year of your car/truck that's highly unlikely since most adjustable valves were eliminated in the mid-80s. It's also possible that a lifter could be ticking from a mis-adjustment or lack of oil flow.

Well typically the valves themselves don't make noise in an engine. Usually any drive train noise is caused by loose lifters.

It is possible I suppose but you should really consider exactly where the noise is coming from. Either way, you should probably have it checked out by a mechanic if it's bothering you.

This is definitely possible, especially if your Chrysler is an older model. In order to reduce the chances of valve noise, make sure you keep it properly lubricated. This isn't a big deal, just go to any auto parts store or even Wal-Mart.

Certainly, sometimes as the valves wear they will make a tapping noise and you can start to see some blue smoke out of your exhaust. It is best to have this diagnosed by a registered mechanic.

The valve can make noise if the lifter is coming up and hitting it. If you have a thrown rod it will bend the lifter to hit the valve and you will hear it in the valve cover.

Valve pinging, or engine knocking as its also known, is caused by one of the cylinders in the engine igniting at the incorrect time. What happens inside is that one of the cylinders will ignite early, forcing the next cylinder's piston up while it's intake valve is still open. This causes the piston to hit the valve and make noise.

No, it's not possible, because a valve makes no noise at all. What makes noise is the combustion of the motor.

If the valve on your Chrysler is making a noise, it is possible that you have a loose valve. The one thing you should consider is taking it to be looked at by a dealership in your local area and getting it fixed. The insurance company should be available to pay for the parts if necessary.

It could be anything wrong with it. You should have it checked out though to make sure it isn't anything bad.
