Is a candle flame a living being?

Even though fire requires oxygen to exist, it is not a living organism because it can be manufactured in multiple ways. A candle flame is the result of the wick be lite by another fire source.

I do not believe that a candle flame can be considered a living being in a literal of scientific sense. A flame is heat and light given off by a process called combustion. A flame does not have DNA. However, if not taken literally, the idea can work as a poetic metaphor for the intensity and temporary nature of life.
