Is it a good idea to use a candle as a centerpiece?

Couldn't it start a fire?

Any type of flame could start a fire. However, you could use a candle with nothing around it,such as holly, baby's breath, and the like. You could simply use a scented candle that isn't lit--the smell will be less intense, but on a warm day it can get pretty noticeable. You could use a battery-operated plastic candle.

It depends on what is close to the candle and the size of the room. I love candle centre pieces but if the room is small, they take your oxygen and can make the room stuffy
