Not really. Large churches tend to get the "best" preachers as they can serve the largest numbers there. Smaller churches are further down the list and get those that remain.

It is common for ALL small churches to get preachers that are not the best speakers or preachers. The good preachers are usually drawn to larger churches that will be able to pay more for their skills. Small churches usually get the less competent preachers unless you find one that is very good but young and on his way up.
