No your sinus' are close to your mouth but they can not be bothered by dental work. I would try taking allergy medicine to see if it gets better.

Some of your teeth are pretty high and the roots can run along side some of the nerves in your sinuses. Sometime you may experience a toothache when you have a sinus infection. If your dentist is not careful, he can damage some of your sinus whiles performing dental work. They are so close. One can affect the other.

Since your sinuses are connected to your mouth it's entirely possible that having dental work done has allowed for infection to have easy access to your sinuses. This happens to my husband all the time. Without fail, if he gets dental work done he ends up needing medication to fight off a nasty sinus cold.

This is not common, but some of the treatments that may cause sinus problems are root canal treatments in upper molars or implant placement in the upper jaw.

The sinuses run directly over the gum areas. Any swelling in the gums can put pressure on the sinuses causing them to be irritated.

Yes, sometimes you will have some sinus problems after having a lot of dental work done in your mouth. Every person is different so you may or may not have other issues going on. Talk to your dentist to see what he or she thinks about the problem that you are having.

Oral surgeons can accidentally nick nerves that affect other parts of your jaw and head, so it's not impossible. For a specific situation ask a doctor.

It is common for some people but usually nothing to worry about. I guess it really depends on the patient, not everyone experiences sinus problems after dentistry.

I would think it depends on what kind of dental work you had done although I would think this is pretty normal as everything is kind of connected in that area. But if you are concerned I would check with your dentist or doctor to make sure everything is okay.

Though it is not very common to have sinus problems after dentistry, it is far more common and in fact almost exclusively related to dental work on the upper teeth or maxilla. The reason is they sit directly below and closely related to the nasal and frontal sinuses. Excessive irritation of this region cause sinus problems.

It could be unrelated, but sometimes, with certain procedures, there is a chance of the germs and bacteria flowing down the throat. This can lead to many issues, including sinus infections. Check with your general doctor first, then check with a dentist or oral surgeon.
