Pretend play allow kids to try out different situations and learn how they would act in such situations. It is also known as "free play" and is one of the best forms of learning where they are creating the games for themselves and not being made to follow instructions.

Oh no I don't think that they are making fun of their teachers. They are wanting to be like them, and that shows that their teacher has set a good example for them to want to follow.

First of all you're looking too far into it. Secondly, children don't see anyone as their "superior". It's healthy for children to play make believe and mimic their idols. They mimic people in their lives that they look up to. Often times they mimic people like their parents, teachers, police officers and fire fighters.

This is perfectly fine. They are role-playing what they see and do. This could even help children decide that they want to be teachers.
