Is it okay to freeze skim milk then defrost it and use it?

It is okay to freeze skim milk to later defrost and use, but it's not recommended. It can separate, however the less fat in the milk, the less separation and change in taste there will be. Make sure to stir it well after it's thawed, and leave room in the container so it doesn't explode.

It is possible to do this, but the defrosting will not lead to a pleasant tasting milk. Freezing milk is generally not a good plan. If it were, milk would be far easier to transport and keep fresh, however that is not the case, and milk transport is a difficult process.

I think that it is 100% OK to do this. When I used to drink milk (I no longer drink dairy milk), I would do this when I left for vacation so that my milk would not go bad while I was away. I would then thaw it when I got home and have milk ready to drink again!
