In this day and age it is considered okay to send e-vites to most events because most people rely heavily on technology but it is still better etiquette to send an invote through postal mail for an event as important as a bridal shower.

Just make sure that everyone you want to invite has email and internet access. Be sure to put a number so they can RSVP by phone as well as email

Not only is it okay to send bridal shower invitations through e-vites, it is eco-friendly! DEfinitely do this, that is as long as your friends are receptive to it.

It's okay, but only if you know for sure that everybody will check it in time. Maybe do e-vites to the girls and real invites to the family and VIP.
