It is certainly possible that Vitamins can cause diarrhea. Anything in excess can cause an upset stomach, diarrhea and even vomiting. An allergy to a vitamin or mineral may also be the cause. Reduce the recommended dosage and increase fluid intake, this should rectify the situation, IF it is the appropriate cause.

Vitamin B5 and C in multi-vitamins can cause diarrhea. Eating a well balanced diet while taking vitamins can prevent diarrhea. Feeding your son bland, low-fat foods and keeping him well hydrated can ease the discomfort.

Yes. Vitamin C causes a mild case of diarrhea if taken in excess. In order to eliminate the diarrhea, simply cut back a bit on the Vitamin C.

It is possible, but unlikely. Some children can have sensitive digestive systems or allergies to all sorts of things. It is possible that some ingredient in the vitamins is giving your child a mild reaction, which is causing the diarrhea. Try stopping the vitamins, or even just switching brands, and see if it helps.
