In general, CNA classes are not available free of charge at accredited institutions (and you definitely want to attend an accredited school). Call your local city hall and find out if they collect information about financial aid available to students in such programs.

Some employers offer free training in exchange for an agreement to stay on as an employee for a time. You'll see these offers in the classifieds under Jobs. Those are the only free opportunities, and they are at most offered annually.

Often times your local nursing-home or long-term care facility may be willing to foot the bill for your CNA classes. This is becaue there is a shortage of qualified CNA's in many areas. Check with a variety of your local care-providers to see if they have a program for you.

The best way to find free CNA classes is to get a job with a nursing home or hospital. They may pay for your classes.

Many times nursing homes will offer CNA classes as a hiring incentive. The idea being that their will train you to be a CNA and then you are required to work for them a certain amount of time as repayment for the class
