Hydrocodone and Flexeril are not safe to mix. Hydrocodone is a pain medication. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Both drugs have the side effects of respiratory depression and loss of balance. When taken together, a person's breathing may dramatically slow down and the person may fall from loss of balance.

It is technically safe, although a patient taking both of them should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. If you're active, you shouldn't perform activities such as driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how taking both of them at once will affect you.

It is always wise to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about taking multiple medications. A professional will be able to give you the best information.

As long as your doctor has prescribed you these medications, it's fine to take these medications together. Both these medications can make you tired, so I would NOT suggest driving or doing any activity requiring coordination. It might be best to take these medications together before bed. Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab) is a painkiller; Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is a muscle relaxant.
