Not always, only if HIV positive patient had sexual contact with positive HPV patient. It is more probable to have LSIL in this case, but they are not closely relationated.
HPV, the sexually transmitted human papiloma virus, is the major cause of LSIL, with cigarette smoking also being a factor. HIV is not mentioned in the long term studies.
