Is Melissa Etheridge cancer free now?

She's a survivor because of the chemotherapy, but she didn't have a masectomy so technically she is not cancer free, it's merely in remission. Breast cancer never really goes away unless the breast tissue is removed but she can certainly afford great medical care, she won't be dying of cancer anytime soon.

Melissa Etheridge was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in October of 2004. Surgery was performed, and Ms. Etheridge had a lumpectomy and the surgeons removed fifteen lymph nodes to make sure the cancer had not spread beyond the lymph nodes. Her treatment included radiation therapy and five rounds of chemotherapy. Ms. Etheridge has been in remission ever since.

Melissa Etheridge cancer is in remission. Meaning that she has no signs of cancer in her body. That does not mean that it is gone, it just means that it is not in her. It may or may not come back. Her fans just wish her the best and pray she stays strong.

The last time I heard an interview on Melissa Ethridge she was so grateful for her life and how she was cancer freea fter dealing with the cancer for seveal years. She stated she gets checked ona regulatr basis and is glad to report there are no sign of cancer left.

She currently has said through her agent that she is indeed cancer free, and is currently working on a new album.
