Sometimes, yes! All fish at some point have clear excrement. It's normal, be sure to keep an eye out to make sure the fish eats. Often times when they go threw shock, or are getting ill, the excrement is white. Also be sure it is not being attacked in the tank.

the color of the fecal matter will vary in color depending on there diet. my fish eat frozen blood worms so at times there poop is dark red. At other times there poop is more of a dark brown green color. The only time i have seen white poop in the tank was after an ich treatment.

No, it isn't supposed to be white. It's not always a bad thing. It may just be the food that you've been feeding your fish or something in the tank that the molly had been eating. Try switching to a different fishfood(s). It may also be something more serious such as an internal parasite, which are common in new fish.

White fish poop is indicative of intestinal parasites. You can get medicated food at the pet store or you could try an over the counter internal parasite medicine such as Paracite-D

Usually you shouldn't be able to see the waste of molly or other kinds of fish. If you do, it means you are overfeeding them. You might want to switch to feeding your fish pellets that you can scoop out of the tank a couple minutes after feeding.
