The cost of living in Nashville is somewhat high because it is a large city. If you go into the suburbs and outskirts of the city, the rent and housing prices decrease. Compared to Los Angeles and New York City, Nashville is still a bit cheaper, with a one bedroom apartment renting for around $800 per month.

It depends on what your comparison would be compared to now. If you are moving from large metropolitan areas such as NYC, it is a very affordable city to live. If you are coming from a smaller rural town, it will cost more, but overall a farily affordable metropolitan area.

The cost of living in Nashville is high compared to the rest of the state. This is because it is a very popular place to live.

The cost-of-living in Nashville is somewhat lower than the national average, so a move there can be inexpensive or expensive depending on where you are relocating from.
