Is there such a thing as hoof and mouth disease in kids?

i heard about a kid having it but I didn't know if it was true or not. I thought just animals got it.

Yes, it comes from a similar virus but in children it is called "Hand, foot and mouth" disease. Symptoms include fever and small blisters.

Only cloven animals get hoof and mouth disease. There is a childhood disease called hand, foot and mouth disease which is also called herpangina. The child has a fever and small sores on the back of their throat. It is not serious but the child should still see their doctor.

Although animals are the ones mainly affected, humans (including children) can also get infected. Hand, foot and mouth disease is a similar sounding disease that affects humans /children more frequently.

Children are affected by Hoof and mouth disease. It is otherwise known as foot and mouth disease. It is an epidemic disease. FMD is a very contagious viral disease. It is characterized by a high fever and blisters in the mouth. FMD vaccines can cure the children completely and provide immunity.

Yes there is, however it is often called Hand, foot and mouth disease. It results in children getting blisters in their mouth, on hands and feet.
