Is there such a thing as live sea shells?

Sea shells are not living creatures. The sea shells may appear to be alive though because there are many animals that live in sea shells. The animals that live in sea shells can either change sea shells as they get to big for them or the sea shell grows with them, but the sea shell is not alive.

Yeah there all living from what I have been told and you know how you will be able to tell if they are living you just put one beside your ear and you can hear the ocean.

Yes,you can find live sea shells under the sea. Usually we see empty sea shells at the sea shore,but the real live sea shells in underneath the ocean.

No there isn't. We call the shell of a dead saltwater snail a seashell. Seashells are used by live crabs as a shelter. A live saltwater snail has a living and growing shell attached to it, after the snail dies, then the empty shell is called a sea shell.
