"Applehead" refers to the size of the cranium, which allows for a larger prefrontal lobe, the portion of the brain where temperament and personality are located. Appleheaded (cats, dogs) supposedly make better pets and aren't prone to nasty temperaments. The "wedge-head" standard literally breeds the brains out of animals.

YES,applehead chihuahuas are fiesty in behavior, have shorter snouts and a broad face. The AKA organization only accept them up to six lbs. These dogs are house dogs and should not jump from chairs or couches, bones are too smal and easily broken.

Yes, I've heard of a couple friends that have applehead chihuaha. Their heads are actually shaped like an apple, but compared to a regular chihuahua, they all have the same personality.
