My 19-year-old daughter moved in with a 37-year-old and family. Should I allow her to come back home?

If you value your relationship with your daughter, then it would be best to keep the lines of communication open. Teenagers often feel they are invincible but if the situation she is in gets negative on her, she will need the comfort and unconditional love that only her parents can give her. Good luck!

It depends on your relationship with her. If you feel like she is going to stop being rebellious, then let her come home. If not, then don't.

Young people make mistakes. No matter what she does, she is your child. If you love her, you need to be there for her. If she is asking to move back, then clearly she realizes that she made a mistake. Now is not the time for blame or punishment; it is the time to be loving and suportive.

Short run, this would satisfy your natural emotional reaction. Long run, this will damage your relationship with your daughter for many years. Nineteen year olds make dumb mistakes. What she needs from you is love and wisdom when she has a hard time (and no "I told you so's"). It's hard to deal with sort of thing.

Why is she coming back home? Is she done with the loser? It is completely up to you. If I was you, I would.
