My power steering is turning hard, is this normal?

No it is not. You should check your power steering fluid which if low, can make it very hard to turn the wheel. Also, you may need a wheel alignment.

I would check the power steering fluid to see if it is low. If the fluid is not low I would take the vehicle to my friendly mechanic to check the power steering pump.

Well if the effort required to turn the well is greater than normal then you might have an issue. I would check the fluid first if it looks fine and the belt is not slipping. If that all looks fine then you may have an failing power steering pump. You can replace it and see if that helps.

Having power steering and turning hard is not normal, with power steering it should be easier to turn, if you are having difficulty go to autoshop.
