While Progressive may have catchy commercials and advertisements, you need to research any decision to change auto insurers. This should include reviewing financial situation (Moody's, or A. M. Best, for example) and reviewing results from customer service surveys, as well. Progressive has been near the bottom in customer service surveys in recent years.

It is a good idea to shop around for car insurance depending on your driving record make and model of car, some companies might be cheaper then others. Many people are happy with progressive but you do not receive the exact total until you call a representative and have them check the dmv to calculate your total.
