Barefoot sandals are a great summertime accessory. Think of them as jewelry for our feet. Imagine beads, pearls, or crystals that are worn on the foot. They wrap around the ankle and connect to the toes. Similiar to the top part of a thong style sandal. They are great to jazz up your feet around the pool or the beach.

These are not conventional or traditional footwear, they are in fact an adornment for the feet. You are thinking about a sole and straps but what these are is like a necklace or bangle that wraps around the ankle and hooks onto a toe. Great for running around on beaches.

Dispite their name, barefoot sandals are not really a type of shoe. They are more like jewelry. Barefoot sandals have no sole, they merely decorate the top of the foot. They go around the ankle like and ankle bracelet, with a peice that continues across the top of the foot and loops around the second toe.

Barefoot sandals are ornamental foot jewelry, usually made from elastic thread embellished with beads and faux gems, looping around the big toe to the ankle with no sole attached.

Barefoot sandals are quite possibly the best invention for people who want to feel the positive attributes of walking barefoot but don't necessarily want the horrible foot odor.
