I have been hunting for over ten years. The pro's are self satisfaction of taking your own meat and the enjoyment of spending time in the woods. The con's are the cost of getting started in hunting, it can be very costly and finding a woods to hunt that have enough game.

Pros: You get outdoors in the fresh air; you can acquire meat for your family's table; you may be helping manage the wildlife population. Cons: You're killing a living being, you are at risk of being injured yourself, and you probably won't be getting any real exercise.

"You're killing a living being" shouldn't be on the "Cons" list because it is the reason most hunters hunt. Get yourself a trophy, or dinner, that's the whole point. It only becomes a problem if the population of the hunted animal becomes threatened from too much hunting.  add a comment

Some benefits of hunting include having extra meat to eat, learning patience, and getting to enjoy the great outdoors. Like all hobbies, hunting does have some disadvantages. It can be costly and time consuming. There is some danger involved, especially from other hunters. Lastly, it can only be enjoyed during hunting season.

Hunting can be a fun sport but it can be a hassle. A person has to have a hunting license and you have to hunt in certain areas. The cost of the ammunition can get pricey as well.

PRO: Hunting gets you outside and in touch with nature. CON: Hunting is expensive and time consuming. Hunting gear runs thousands of dollars and involves hours scouting and pursuing game.

The biggest pros I can see would be having the food from the animal hunted. It's also good for bonding. The cons would include cost, only being able to do it certain times a year, and possible injury or death.

how can you not see any cons!?! You're killing animals without their consent (even though there really is no way to ask them). Would you liked to be killed and eaten against your will?  add a comment

One of the pros of hunting is that you can provide food for your family. Many families enjoy eating wild game. Additionally, you can help prevent animal overpopulation. The cons would be that it can sometimes be dangerous if you do not take the proper precautions. Additionally, hunting calls for early mornings, usually in the cold.

Some pros of hunting is it allows men to bond and to get out of the house so women can have a break. It weeds out the animal population in over crowded areas and is a great family activity. Cons would be hunting accidents and the expense.
