Apparently, some Honda vs65 Magnas will run hot in stop and go traffic. Some experience a significant vibration sensation throughout the bike.

It was common for the alternator to regulator wire/connector on V65s to overheat, burn, and fail. Some people feel that the damper cam system is inherently weak, causing the lash felt in the drive train. It was also very common for the aluminum finishes to corrode. Fork seals also seem to be a common issue.

All the Honda brand motor cycles are pretty good reliable machines. YOu want to make sure that you are doing the preventative maintenance in a timely fashion. This includes oil changes and brake pads.

These models of motorcycles can have premature wear on the camshaft. This is caused by inadequate oil flow and the problem can be repaired before the camshaft wears out. Properly maintaining your bike will also help prevent any of these types of issues. Have a mechanic look over your bike before you purchase to see how the camshaft looks.
