You can grow tulips in a warm climate but you must remember to make them believe they are in a cold climate. After they bloom, refrigerate the bulbs for a couple months, then replant and let them grow and bloom. After the blooms die, let the leaves completely wilt, dig up the bulbs and refrigerate again.

Tulips need approximately 15 weeks of cool weather in the 35-40 degree range. Some recommendations include putting in air conditioned room, putting in refrigerator, and growing inside.

Place bulbs in a ventilated bag in a refrigerator at 40° F to 45° F for a minimum of six weeks. Take them from fridge directly to your planting site. Plant bulbs six to eight inches deep.Choose planting areas that drain well, as standing water can rot bulbs

The trick to growing tulips in warm climates is how to deceiving them into thinking they have gone through the winter season. This can be done easily in a room that has air conditioning cold enough for the Tulips. Just store them in a cool, dry place until you are ready to plant.

The biggest thing is to make sure they get enough water and that the soil they are planted in isn't getting to warm for them if you notice that happening bring out cold water and water them it will cool the soil and the roots so they can continue to thrive.
