A somewhat current example would be the South Park episodes of 200 and 201. Comedy Central made them heavily alter both episodes, and now refuse to air them, all because the creators had wanted to include the prophet Muhammad.

The most common forms of censorship in television are specific episodes of shows not allowed to air, such as an episode of Family Guy called When You Wish Upon a Weinstein in reference to Jewish people, or cuss words being censored out of songs in music videos.
