Work coverage drills for the Defensive Ends in the flats and set up bags between each gap on the defensive line so they know where they have linebacker support.

Rushing both defensive ends (speed drills), defensive tackles blocking, and all four of your linebackers practicing tackling and speed rushing.

Make sure you have your players fit. I recommend running sprints. Agility is important for your defensive line. Have them do footwork drills. Run through cones, tires, etc... Make sure your linemen lift every other day. The more powerful the player, the easire they can dominate the offensive line. Good luck in your coaching.

Start off practice weight lifting and running a lap. Then, let your players practice against each other one being offense and other being defense and then trading.

The defensive line is really only the first "4" in "4-4", but this system asks the linemen to stuff the gaps, so get out the blocking sled!
