What my kids enjoy are all the High School Musical shows, all one, two and three. Sounds of Music is another good musical one to try for kids. Also Mary Poppins is another good movie that kids of all ages enjoy. Wizard of Oz is another good one for them.

One of the best musicals for kids would be Annie, which is almost an all child cast. Another good one is Peter Pan. Kids always love Wizard of Oz. They all know the story and love performing that one. The Sound of Music is also goos since it centers around children.
A good place to choose musicals for kids is to look for anything that is put out by Disney. One can do an online search or even visit a store that either sells or rents videos.
The Lion King tells a well-known story, features moving songs, and has great production values. It is now about two generations old, so both kids and their parents will enjoy it. The classic Wizard of Oz has been performed in schools and local theaters and is familiar to them. The comedy hit, Hairspray entertains teens and older kids.
