Red maples have beautiful fall foilage. Adaptable river birch are strikingly beautiful in winter. Tuliptrees offer tulip-shaped leaves with spring flowers. Chinese elms grow very slow. All are very attractive.

Good trees to consider include the Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica) tree, the Ginko (Ginkgo biloba) tree, or the Japanese Pagoda (Sophora japonica) tree. None will grow to larger than 40ft.
