All plants are good for producing oxygen and house plants actually produce fresh oxygen in the house, but you need a good number of houseplants to generate enough oxygen.

The houseplants which are more efficient in purifying the air are philodendrons, spider plants and pothos which are effective in the removal of formaldehyde. Gerbera daisies and chrysanthemums were found to be effective in the removal of benzene. These air cleaning houseplants filter out toxins and replace them with oxygen.
