I believe that degree like communication or management can help you in many different fields. and is helpful overall in life. Compare to more specific major like bio or art which can change over time.
Life learning degrees are usually awarded for activites outside of regualar schooling. The two most common examples are degrees for military service or the peace corps.
Some life learning degrees include home economics, foreign languages, computer science degrees, English and financial literacy. These may not be traditional degrees but they teach real-world skills.
