What are some suggestions for my GE refrigerator to troubleshoot?

First, check the circuit the refrigerator is on for power by plugging something in that you know works. Next double check the temperature control to make sure it's set low enough for the refrigerator to run properly. Last, make sure the refrigerator is far away enough from the wall behind it, at least 2", otherwise heat can't dissipate fast enough.

The first thing to check with your GE unit is to look at the back of the refrigerator for dust and dirt blockage, especially around the coils and the compressor.

Read the instruction manual for setting the refrigerator. If the machine does not start check for the switch or the plug point if that is working. If those are ok then check for the fuse in the fridge. If those are ok then check the electric circuit of the fridge. If the fridge does not cool check for gas leakge.
