What are some unique wall hangings?

My favorite wall hanging was the back section of an intricately carved antique chair (that was broken, but too pretty to throw out). Beautiful quilts or tapestries also make nice art. The simple artwork of a child when framed nicely works well too. Large antique porcelain letters of your family initial or put several small pieces within a large border.

Some really unique and interesting wall hangings can come your own designs. Taking several blank canvases purchased from an art store and buying paints that match your color scheme can turn into something very interesting. Simple leaves or plants can be turned in works of art by dipping them into paint and using as a stamp.

Some cool ideas for wall hangings are candles, light projections (not really a hanging, but takes up space), posters, a hand-made collage, Christmas lights, fake or real plants, pictures, special newspaper clippings, a record collection, shelves, special T-shirts, a TV, guitars, autographed memorabilia, or anything that is colorful that you want to see a lot.

Multi-colored blankets, hand painted and bead worked shawls, metal face masks,hand painted ceramic plates, antique clock, hanging bells or coins(chinese style,flat) of differnt shapes, a collage of our own snaps.
