My sister put cameras in the centerpieces at her wedding. We all took pictures with them and turned them in to a box as we were leaving the ceremony. That gave her fun and candid pictures for her album.

A bouquet made of candy, so guests can eat it while they talk. A bunch of picture frames full of pictures of the couple, which guests can take home afterwards. A jewlery tree, hung with gifts for guests.

For an unusual centerpiece theme, think of something that is special to you and/or your fiance- i. e. a shared hobby, or perhaps a job, a favorite vacation spot, etc. For example, if you are both musicians, you could create something based around a musical instrument, or if you are avid sports enthusiasts, you could create something sport-themed.

I've seen shells, beta fish in little fish bowls, small flowers potted in tea cups, photos of the couple. Use things that have special meanings for the couple, things that go with the theme of the wedding or things that go with the honeymoon destination.

Of course, the most popular choice would be a floral arrangement. Roses, carnations, lilies, and gerbera daisies are popular choices. In order to save money many brides have replaced floral arrangements with floating candles, pillar candles, wildflowers, paper lanterns, food such as a cupcake tree or chocolate fountain. When it comes to weddings, anything goes! Be creative!
