There is a product called "Just One Bite" and its a small block that mice can eat and then it kills them and is available through farm catalogs. Also, just using GREEN Irish Spring bath soap, cut up into small slivers, will kill mice once they eat it - plus it's a good, safe product for children and pets.

A $1 pack of wood mouse traps. Bait with peanut butter and maybe a nut or grain on top, and place in the pantry during the nights till you have eliminated the mice.

Believe me when I say that none of the pesticide products work. And if you find one that does, you run the risk of the mice dying under your dryer or a cabinet or a closet. Yuck! If you can't find it, the smell is awful. I recommend using simple inexpensive mouse traps. They work quickly and inexpensively.

This is so true, once those little pests die and you can't find them you are stuck with the awful smell and trying to find out where the smell is coming from.  add a comment

Physically sealing the exterior of your home is most important. Find any holes and repair them appropriately. For those mice already inside, standard spring-loaded snap traps are very hard to beat, both in performance and price. Glue traps work, but you won't like the disposal process. Poison doesn't always get taken.

The first step is to remove all food sources that the mice might have access to in your home. To deter mice, peppermint oil is very effective. Mice dislike the smell. Be sure to buy 100% pure peppermint essential oil. Put the oil on cotton balls and spread them around your house, especially near cracks and holes. Worked for me.

I think that Decon is the best way to keep mice out of the house. I have owned two houses and both have had mice! Not being an animal lover at all, this method has proven to be the most effective! The only drawback is dealing the after effects of the mice, since the decon is deathly.

The best products I have found to repel mice from my home are mint scented sachets and little plugin gadgets that make a buzzing sound that mice do not like. These have worked extremely well for me in a room that was formerly plagued by mice coming in from outside.
