What are the differences between Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma?

Hodgkins lymphoma cells have specific cell present called Reed-Sternberg cell. Non Hodgkins lymphoma dont have these present. The way to know is to examine the cell under a microscope.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a kind of cancer of the lymphocytes, in which it can be diagnosed microscopically by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells, while Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma comprise cancers of the lymph nodes,spleen and other organs connected to the immune system, other than Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Hodgkin's lymphoma is marked by the presence of a very unique type of malignant cell. These cells are known as Reed-Sternberg cells or lacunar histiocytes. They are typically either multinucleated, or have a bi-lobed nucleus with an "owl's eye" appearance. Any Lymphoma without these special malignant cells is considered Non-Hodgkin's.
