The United State military is comprised of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force. Each branch has a different mission, different recruiting standards and different opportunities. Speak to a recruiter from each service to help you decide.

The US Army, US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Air Force and US Marine Corps make up the United State military. There are no "branches" within each arm of the military. The website of each service has a Locate-A-Recruiter button. Set up some meetings.

There is the Active duty Army, Army Reserve, Army National Guard, Navy, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps, Marine Corps reserve, and the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve. The Marine Corps. is part of the Navy. If you are trying to decide, try going with what you feel is best for you. Challenging or engaging? Tough? Intellectual?
