Different bugs that attach to the skin are: Ticks (various types depending on location) Mosquitos ( To withdraw blood from prey) Mites Lice (stay in hair on the body) Flees (dont attach but stay around hair) Chiggers (found in low damp areas) Various wasp and bees will attach to skin when provoked to sting.

One of the worse which is common with school children are lice. In wooded areas tics are common and in some areas leeches can be found.
