The metric or SI system uses kilograms or kg as the unit for representing mass, while the non-metric or English system uses pounds or lb as their unit for representing mass. For conversion purposes, we can use the formula of 1 kg = 2. 2046 lb; for the reverse case, we use 1 lb = 0. 4536 kg.
