They're called Sphynx cats. They appear bald, but I've been told that they do have a very fine layer of fur that's very peach-like. Despite common belief, they aren't hypoallergenic.

The Sphynx (Canadian Hairless) cat breed is a very well known breed of hairless cats. Less common variations of hairless breeds would include the Elf cat, the Dwelf cat, the ukrainian levkoy cat and the Don Sphynx cat, which all have been breed from the from the original Sphynx gene pool.

Sphynx cats are a breed of cat that can be considered "bald". In reality, the Sphynx breed has a very short, fine hair similar to that of a peach. At times, other cats can develop bald patches or become bald due to disease, such as flea infestation.

The Sphynx cat has no hair whatsoever. It is very sensitive to temperature, cold or hot, so is better suited to be an 'indoor' cat.

There are two kinds of bald cats: the Canadian Sphynx (which is originally from Canada) and the Don Sphynx (which is originally from Russia). Although the two breeds look similar, they are not genetically related. These breeds are bald because of different genetic mutations that have been selected for in breeding.

the one's that are completly fur less? they are called sphinx. They have no hair and still rewquire maintenance as they secrete the same oils as if they had fur, so skin conditions can run rampant on them. Just up from them you have the rex breede (cornish, devon) they have wool type fur and are very easy to care for.
