Because this can weaken the immune system the symptoms could be quite numorous and unpredictable. Typical symptoms include excessive weight loss, tingling hands and feet, diarrhea, extreme fatigue, nausea and vomiting and flu-like symptoms. Anyone who suspects they may have contracted HIV should immediately go to their doctor and get tested.
