What are the qualifications for a state of Ohio lawyer?

After earning a Bachelor's degree, you must complete the requirements for graduation from an accredited law school. You then must sit for the Bar Exam and pass it. Then, you be permitted to seek a sponsor and be sworn in as an attorney.

In addition to earning a law degree, you must pass the Ohio bar exam. You must also undergo a criminal and financial background check and a review of moral character.

The Ohio Bar requires that you be at least 21, that you have a bachelors degree, that you graduate from an accredited law school with either a J. D. or L. L. B. , have good moral character, have passed both the state bar exam and the multi-state exam, and have taken the oath of office.
