What are the qualifications for the 2012 swimming Olympic trials?

One does not automatically qualify for the trails. You have to come through the ranks. That means you have to go from city to state and qualify there. If your time is good enough you will be invited and through a process of elimination you may qualify based on the fastest time trials.

Minimum qualification times will be set before the qualification process in 2012. Large countries will be limited to no more than 3 swimmers per event.
