A Community Association Manager (CAM) license is required of individuals who want to manage Florida homeowners and condominium associations of more than 10 units or have a annual budget in excess of $100,000. It is not a real estate license, which is what is required to sell condos and other real properties.

A CAM license is required to manage a homeowner or condo association where there are more than ten units and a budget in excess of $100,000. A realty license is required to sell condos.

You need to be 18 yrs of age, high school diploma or equivalent and be able to have it sworn to that you are "honest, truthful and of good character". Residency is not a requirement. You must take the state approved 18 hr pre-licensing course, then apply for state license.

A CAM license is not to sell condos, but to manage them. Similar to a property manager, except in a condo setting.
