You can use a store bought crust and concentrate of the toppings you want on it. Always use fresh ingredients for the toppings. Make sure to put the sauce to just inside the edges. Brush the outside of the crust with oil to crisp the edges and brown them.

I add a bit of oil on the crust prior to putting the sauce on. I also add parmesan and cheddar cheese to the mozzerella.

Don't skimp on the sauce; too little sauce can make the pizza dry and lack flavor. Always use good quality ingredients, such as fresh vegetables.

I think the biggest thing is a good crust and some quality sauce. Both should be homemade but the crust has to be because store bout is never as good. Look online for good recipes for both. Then use a quality cheese and don't over-do it with the toppings.

The secret to a really good pizza is in three key parts. Your crust, your sauce and your cheese. All of these should be of the highest quality.
