The side of effects of depo-medrol injection for cats are commonly increased drinking, urinating and eating. Vomiting, behavior changes, weight gain, panting and diarrhea are also possible. Long term use may lead to muscle loss, Cushing's disease or diabetes. High doses may lead to infections for the cat.

I only know one side effect to this medicine pertaining to cats, and that is if you give to a cat while its pregnant it can case it to abort.

My cat had arthritis in her vertebrae -- the inejctions gave instant relief. When she was in pain, she was not able to twist or move her neck and head, and hung her head in pain. She did not require continuous injections, rather only a few for flareups. We did not see any negative side effects.
