What are the small jumping bugs I see in my yard?

They could be leafhoppers, which usually hang around a field or tall grass and weeds. When the weeds or grass is cut, then they will move to a lawn. The leafhopper's life span is around two weeks in the spring, and then you will not have to put up with them until next year.

They can be a form of tick or flea. Some very small spiders do jump, check if you see any webs. Catch one take it to the Nursery to identify.

Those bugs are most likely grasshoppers. They come out during the summer months and can jump quite high due to their frog-like leg design.
