A sense of entitlement, self-centered behavior, and a sense of injustice when things do not go their way. Narcissists self-enhance more than others (in other words, they bolster their sense of importance, and their skill in various domains). Narcissists have problems with perspective taking and seeing things from another person's perspective.

First, remember most kids/teens are self-centered; it's a natural part of development. The DSMIV includes the following as diagnostic conditions for Narcissistic Personality Disorder: pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, lack of empathy. Narcissists have a sense of entitlement, a feeling that they are "special," and requires excessive admiration.

Symptoms of narcissism include exaggerated self worth and personal importance as well as selfishness issues. Narcissistic people will lie, manipulate and take advantage of others for their own personal gain. They place themselves above all else even at the expense of others. They are obsessed with power and feel they are superior to others.

Overachiever, feels they are better, smarter than everyone, sore loser. Thinks they're special and should be treated that way, doesn't care what others think or feel. Uses others to get thier way, rules don't apply to them. Gets angry when others don't do what they want, expects to be worshiped.
