YOu can try having her wade in a small pool or even try a bigger pool with some sort of flotation device.

I think the best thing to do is to face the problem head on. I would recommend starting with small things such as wading in a small pool and gradually working yourself up to handling larger amounts of water. Before you know it you may be able to effortlessly spend a day at the beach.

There is a therapy used for people with phobias where they are slowly exposed to their fear so they can learn to overcome it. Your sister should get into counseling to be able to overcome this. Don't force or pressure her, that can make it worse.

Almost all treatments include gradual exposure to the source of the fear (in a controlled setting). The counselor works with the patient to help them mentally think through the anxiety and realize-- over time and a number of exposures-- that thinking needs to be re-wired. This is behavioral therapy.

Try exposing her to water by using small steps at a time. Perhaps begin by talking to her about the ways water benefits her (prevents dehysration, hand-washing prevents germs, showering requires water.) Then use an eye dropper to get her used to tiny amounts of water, and go from there.

As with any phobia, in order to remove the fear you MUST face it. The best therapeutic option is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It's been proven to be very effective.

As the case is very similar to many that present themselves as phobias etc rats or animals. You have to go to therapy to address your problem as it is psychological and what necesta also in the not to be suffering the consequences of addition it should be stressed that these problems can become very serious.

I would introduce a person slowly to enjoying being around water, and do it in a fun manner. I would take her to a picnic to the beach.
